The 4 knob lid system is superior to other designs such as the hinged lid type prone to loosing prime or the screw on lid type too tight,cracks housing when turning.Our pump does not loose prime or have decreased efficiency due to these factors.
All Wavemachine Pumps have brass threaded section of impeller eliminating the # 2 cause of pump failure bad impeller. Run other pumps "dry" and you will have to replace the Seal, Seal plate, Impeller and more.Run a superduty 111 pump "dry"and only replaceSeal.
